Brand names

All company, product or service names may be trade or brand names of third parties and are the property of their respective owners. The use of the word partner in no way represents a business relationship between the owner, Phisys AG and any other company.

Data Protection Act (DSG)

We are subject to Swiss data protection law in accordance with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DSG) and adhere to the guidelines of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). Thus, we attach great importance to the protection and proper handling of personal data and collect, process and use them exclusively in accordance with the principles described below and in compliance with the applicable DSG.
Our website can be used without providing personal details. If a service is used via our website, personal data may be collected and processed. The following explains what data we collect, how we use it and what rights you have with regard to the use of your data.

Personal data

Personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your address, as well as your e-mail address, but also the IP address used.

Your personal data is used for the purpose of processing the services we offer or the contractual relationship that exists with you.

Your name and address are needed to find out who our contractual partner is, i.e. to whom we provide and invoice our services. We need your contact details (email address and possibly telephone number) to communicate with you. Your email address is also used to receive our newsletter if you are a subscriber to these services.

Anonymized data

You can visit our website without revealing your identity. When you visit our website, our servers temporarily save each access in a log file. The following information is stored until it is automatically deleted: anonymised IP address, date and time of access, name and URL of the file accessed, website from which access was made, operating system of your computer, browser used and possibly the name of your internet access provider.

We also use cookies when you visit our website. You will find explanations of this in the relevant sections of this privacy policy.

Comments

When visitors post comments on the website, we collect the information displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and user agent string (which identifies the browser) to help identify spam.
Name, email address and website may be stored in cookies (see below); this is a convenience function so that this data does not have to be re-entered for new comments.
An anonymised string may be created from the email address provided (also called a hash) and passed to the Gravatar service to check if it is being used. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/ After the comment has been approved, the profile picture is publicly visible in the context of the corresponding comment.

Media

If you are a registered user and upload photos to this website, you should avoid uploading photos with an EXIF GPS location. Visitors to this website could download photos stored on this website and extract their location information.

Contact form

If you contact us via the contact form provided on our website, you are required to provide your name and a valid email address. What other personal data is collected is determined by the additional information you provide to us via the contact form. If you contact us by email or via a contact form, the personal data you provide will be automatically stored. We use this data to process your enquiry and to contact you. This personal data is not passed on to third parties.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are permanently or temporarily stored on the hard drive of your computer when you visit our website. These cookies do not damage your computer’s hard drive, nor do they contain viruses, Trojans or other malware.

The purpose of these cookies is in particular the identification of customers when using i.e. a web shop. The data collected through the setting of cookies is anonymised through technical precautions. An allocation of the data to the calling user is no longer possible.

You can deactivate cookies from our website in your browser at any time, in whole or in part. If you deactivate cookies, you may no longer be able to use all the functions of our website.

If you have an account with us and log on to this website, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set some cookies to store your login information and viewing options. Login cookies expire after two days and display option cookies expire after one year. If you select “Stay signed in” when you sign up, your sign-in will be maintained for a fortnight. When you log out of your account, the login cookies are deleted.

When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and only refers to the post ID of the article you have just edited. This cookie expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional third party tracking services and record your interaction with this embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into this website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may be examined by an automated spam detection service. We do not disclose personal data to third parties (unless, for example, it is identified by the user in the comments themselves).

Personal data and log files may be viewed and processed by our provider Phisys AG (Switzerland) and its employees. However, they are obliged to maintain confidentiality and are not allowed to pass them on to third parties.

Visitor comments and form data may be checked through an automated spam detection service namely Google reCAPTCHA.

We make use of Google translations facilities. Google may store your IP and language settings.

How long we retain and where we store your data

When you post a comment, it is stored indefinitely, including metadata. This allows us to automatically recognise and approve follow-up comments rather than keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). Administrators of the website can also view and possibly change this information (especially employees of Phisys AG).

The data itself is stored on a root server of IONOS (United Internet AG) in Germany and/or Spain. Employees of IONOS do not have access to this data.

Legal

According to the Federal Data Protection Act (DSG), you have the right to free information about your stored data (Art. 8 DSG) as well as the right to correction (Art. 5 Para. 2 DSG). In addition, you can request that your data be deleted if it is no longer required for the performance of the contract. You can also request that your data be blocked.
